We provide all clients with a basement layout design. If you are unsure of how you want your space designed, we can provide multiple layout options for you to choose from.
We encourage all clients to obtain a building permit. With a building permit, all work is inspected by city officials from the building department. A building permit will also add value should you ever decide to sell your home.
We will obtain the building permit for you, so there is no need to hire an outside design company.
Foundation Crack Repair
Foundation cracks can occur once a house “settles” and can lead to water penetration. We offer polyurethane crack injections to permanently seal any foundation cracks and to protect your basement from future water damage.
Sump Pump Installation
Sump pumps are used where basement flooding happens regularly and to solve dampness where the water table is above the foundation of a home. If you have experienced any of these issues and don’t have a sump pump, we will assess your basement and recommend whether a sump pump should be installed.
Older homes can have drafty windows that are not energy efficient. We can replace old basement windows with new Energy Star rated windows to keep your basement warm in the winter and help with energy efficiency.
Egress Window Enlargement
Are you looking to add a bedroom to your basement? If so, you are required by the Ontario Building Code to have an egress exit in case of a fire emergency.
We can enlarge any existing window to an egress window to comply with the Ontario Building Code.
When warm, moist air from your home connects with the cold concrete floor in your basement, dampness can be created which allows cold to penetrate through your flooring.
With an insulated basement subfloor, you’re adding panels to create a layer between the concrete and your floors. This not only stops the cold but helps stop moisture from building up, which can produce mould and lead to costly repairs.
We offer a variety of subfloor options, including Dricore, to create warmth and protect your basement from moisture.
Framing a basement is not the same as framing a main floor of a house. Basements have tons of duct work, and bulkheads need to be carefully thought out to increase the overall aesthetic of the basement.
While it is up to you on how you would like your basement finished, as basement professionals we will provide advice on what will look best to minimize unsightly duct work.
Insulation is one of the most important parts of your basement. Not only does it affect the temperature of your basement, it also affects the energy efficiency of your home. We will discuss the differences and benefits of each and select the one that best suits your needs.
Drywall and plastering are crucial to the overall finish of your basement. Improper installation and poor plastering are what lead to noticeable imperfections on your walls, which become visible after painting.
As professionals, we ensure all walls are smooth and no seams are visible, which leaves you with the finish you should expect when you choose us for your project.
Our licensed electricians obtain permits from the Electrical Safety Authority for every basement. All work is inspected and you will receive an ESA certificate for your records.
Electrical panel upgrades are also available.
